I was titling a new piece I made (painting) and settled upon the name "solbeam" after you actually, because of the sense of wonder and freedom that it is meant to portray. I remembered how inspired I felt when you left collegeclub.com and randomly checked in from somewhere else in the world. That demonstration of willingness and guts and freedom propels me to this day. I was curious as to if there was some record of your travels archived somewhere so I did a quick search on google and wow...you are still at it. Thank you, Marcus Sol! Oh wow. My blog is travel-based, but rather than it focus on reviewing places, I'm taking the "single guy" perspective and writing a collection of short (and true) anecdotes from each city i've been too--the backdrop of the story being the city itself.
